On 19th September 2023, the Opening Ceremony of the Foundation Class of SFB’s MBA Program was successfully held in SFB SHNU. Young elites from all over China met in the beautiful Xuhui Campus of SHNU in this golden autumn, and started an inspiring journey of knowledge.

At the end of the Opening Ceremony, Professor Jianghui LIU (Dean of SFB SHNU) spoke to inaugural students of the Foundation Class of SFB's MBA Program. Firstly, Professor LIU congratulated them for having taken an important step forward along the path of pursuing excellence, and pointed out that both SHNU and SFB will assist them to realize their dreams with rich humanistic culture at the university level and the aspiration of "cultivating managerial elites who have humanistic temperament and positively embrace changes". Professor LIU expects SFB's MBA students to pass on the school's value of "Honors Originate from Responsibilities", and make this value common view and collective memory for all SFBers. Finally, Professor LIU celebrated inaugural students of the Foundation Class of SFB's MBA Program to "enjoy learning and be the best version of themselves" when they study at SFB SHNU.
Orientation activities for the Foundation Class of SFB's MBA Program lasted for two days. On 18th September, inaugural students of the Foundation Class of SFB's MBA Program signed in, with a total of 114 inaugural students returning to campus as previous industry practitioners.
In the evening of 18th September, SFB MBA Center invited Professor Xian CHEN (Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University) to deliver the first session of lecture for the lecture series "Enlightening Academics", with the title of "Economic Recovery, Industrial Upgrading and Development of Private Economy".

The first class meeting for the Foundation Class of SFB's MBA Program was held on 18th September. New students from all over China met with class advisors and school counselors face-to-face for the first time. They set up the temporary class committee, and exchanged opinions concerning establishment of SFB MBA club.
After the Opening Ceremony on 19th September, Ms. Yun ZHOU (Deputy Secretary of CPC SFB Committee and Associate Dean of SFB) led faculty members responsible for delivering courses for MBA Program and inaugural students of the Foundation Class of SFB's MBA Program to kick off the on-field study course series "To Learn Humanities in Travels".
The brave will raise the sail and set out for the blue sea and sky. On the occasion of arrival of inaugural students of the Foundation Class of SFB's MBA Program, SFB expects these new students to hold great aspirations, step forward with courage, and to realize their dreams in SFB SHNU!
